New music 🤩 review 7/12/22 - Yé fka Kanye West

Yé dropped a new song using a sample from the classic Donny Hathaway song "Someday We'll All Be Free" with a title of the same name.

There's a lot to be said about the song and the use of this sample. First of all it's great to hear Yé return to his 2004-2008 production sound where he was on a spectacular run as a producer creating a string of heavily sample based hits on his Ensoniq ASR-10.

His choice of sample on this record says a lot about where he's at mentally, when I heard it I immediately connected with it because I know the story behind Donny Hathaway and this song in particular. At the time of recording “We’ll All Be Free” Donny was facing mental issues and fighting his own personal demons and the song was written by Donny’s friend Edward Howard as a message of comfort to Donny himself. Yé using this sample could be Yé‘s way of communicating his own struggle at the present time, this could be deliberate or subconscious. Hopefully Yé doesn’t take this as far as Donny did who tragically and unnecessarily took his own life.

It’s great to hear he still has love for The Word of God and following God as communicated in the song.

Hopefully Yé can make peace with the Jewish community at large who have been offended by his recent issues aimed at few Jews high up in the corporate world.

This is a great topic. 👍 I think that we are at a point of the wheat being separated from the tares. Everyone has a point of choice to gain the world and loose your soul or to choose the heavenly father and give up your life to gain eternal life. There is no in between, and we all have the choice to choose this day whom you will serve, money or the Elohim. Alot of artist have came out and exposed horror stories of abuse of powers. Personally, I think when you see warning signs that can cause harm to you it is OK to remove yourself, and as artist don't sign anything without a lawyer. Even Donnie Mclurki…
